A Week of F1

This week has been dominated by F1 ahead of the British Grand Prix. On Tuesday I went to London's Regents Street to see the F1 parade. The crowds were huge and were already 1-2 deep when I arrived at 3pm and by 6pm it was 10-20 deep. The atmosphere was amazing and well worth the wait and crowds!! I have taken a few shots - see below:

JP Montoya in the Williams

Luca Badoer in the Ferrari

Here is an .avi of David Coulthard in action dc_f1.avi (4.5MB, download and run locally).

More F1 on Thursday evening when Lee G. and I attended a BBC Five Live Formula One forum at the Jordan factory in Silverstone. The event was broadcast live on BBC radio and featured BAR's Geoff Willis, Minardi's Paul Stoddart and Eddie Jordan and allowed the audiance to ask questions. See shots below:

Spent the rest of the week getting more stuff sorted for my various trips. Less than 4 weeks before leaving for Cape Town - I can't wait to get moving. I will be buying my round the world air ticket this week so watch this space for the confirmed route.

Golf With The Boys

First week back at home with the parents (ahhhhhh!!) after moving out of the flat. I have dumped all my stuff back at their house so they are well pleased. Spent the rest of the week sorting out all my stuff and starting to plan for the trips ahead.

On Saturday I met up with "The Gibbo", Mark "Faldo" Lawrance and Lee "Tiger" Gilchrist for a round of golf at Stockwood in Luton. A great time was had by all with Lee topping the leader board with a round of 114, one ahead of Mark. Many thanks to Lee for organising the day and a great BBQ after.

I have taken a few pictures (below) but for real entertainment and laugh-out-loud amusement check out the following .avi file of "Faldo" Lawrance in action - absolute classic:

These guys definitely look world class

It's OK Steve you can breathe out now

So that's 10 shots all round then!!

Gibbo thinks he's got away with it as Mark and Lee double-check the scores.

That's it for this posting more to follow soon. Later dudes.............
